Change…

CHANGE … Do you believe that an experience can change you? Maybe change you for the better, for the worse. Can change make you stronger, weaker, crumble, want to die? Sometimes experiences, traumas, can change us in ways we never knew imaginable. We might find a voice we never had. We might find strength we never knew existed, or we might find ourselves lost and trapped in the traumatic event because we choose not to change. One thing you can be certain of, change is a process and not an event. In this blog, in the future, I’m going talk a lot about myself and my past, as well as my experiences with trauma. Somethings I’m not ready to talk about. Some things are still pretty raw.  I am sure you as a reader can accept and respect that. I may jump around from blog to blog and talk about events that are not in chronological order because of this. So while we are on the topic of change, have you ever read, “Who Moved My Cheese?”   Who Moved My Cheese   This is the kind of book you either really love or really hate. The book is short and to the point. It may take you an hour to read the whole book, but I highly recommend it if you fear change and find yourself stuck in the past. Many employers and some colleges require you to read this book because it encourages thinking outside the box and teaches you how to find solutions to problems. It’s a life skill book for sure and if you read it with an open mind, I believe you will find it to empower you.  I know it helped me.
